Video from the Santa Barbara Harbor shows how close the dredge came to smashing into the dock and boats.

Great pictures From the Air - Santa Barbara Edhat of the Tsunami approaching and hitting the shore and harbor in Santa Barbara, California.

Went flying today in a Super Cub to see the Tsunami hit in Santa Barbara, specifically over the harbor. 830 came and went and all we saw were many boats staying outside the harbor. We loitered for about 90 minutes and then it happened! It flushed in and out and in the pictures included you can see the dredge pipe get pushed into the harbor and if you look closely the buoys look like they are steaming at 5 knots as the surge went into the harbor and stirred the sediment. Then the water started retreating and the whirlpools started at the harbor entrance. Scary to watch.

No major damage reported locally. http://www.edhat.com/site/tidbit.cfm?nid=50651
